Sam's 2nd 'NSYNC Fan Fiction Story

   "Kary, come on.  We're going to miss our flight."
   "Sam, Disney World is not going anywhere.  We're right on time.  Chill out."
   "Okay,okay.  I am just really excited about going back to Orlando again."
   "Remember, the guys aren't going to be there because of the tour."
   "I know."  Sam said with a little too much disappointment in her voice.
   "Is that implying something Sam?  Something that you're not telling me?" Kary asked jokingly.
   Caught off guard, Sam stuttered, "Uh,no.It's just,well you know, we haven't seen them for so long and I really miss them.  They haven't called in ages either."
   "Well, they're famous and all the girls love them.  They have a lot of things on their minds."  Sam

smiled.
   "I know you're right, but ever since they got huge, we never see them."
   "Well, ready?  Here we go."
   Sam and Kary drove to the airport catching their plane and were off to Orlando.
On the plane....
   "Think we should at least stop by and say hi to Lynn.  Maybe we could see a picture of the guys."
   "Oh quite exaggerating.  We see their pictures in magazines all the time."  They both laughed.
   "Speaking of pictures,while I was packing I found a picture of Mr. Bass in one of the our bags.  Hmmm, not mine. Will you tell me why you brought it?"
   Sam was both shocked and embarrassed.  She thought that she had put the picture in her bag.  Why did she bring it?  Lately she was having these feelings toward Lance.  She wouldn't tell Kary because she had a tendency to open her mouth too soon about some things and she would tell Lance before she had time to figure them out.
   "Just to make me happy by remembering old times. That's all."
   "If you say so."
   Kary was talking here and there during the flight, but Sam heard nothing but her own thoughts.  What am I going to do?  Lance will never have enough time for me and we are just close friends.  Do I want to lose our friendship?  No, he means too much to me.  I can't hurt him.  Or myself.
   "Sam!"
   "Oh, what?  Why are you yelling?"
   "Because I have been trying to tell you for like three minutes that we're at the airport and we need to get off  the plane.  What were you thinking about so hard?"
   "Nothing.  Don't worry about it."  Sam tried to smile it off and Kary took the hint.

"Lynn!  I haven't seen you in so long.  How have you been?  Have you heard from the Justin and the rest of the guys lately?"
   "As a matter of fact, I just got off the phone with my boy."
   "Oh, what did he have to say?"
   "Just that you girls were to stay here with me.  He wouldn't dream of you being locked up in a hotel."
   "How did he know we were coming?"  Sam looked at Kary.  "Did you tell them that we were coming?"
   "Yeah.  They called the other day while you were out and I didn't want to upset you by telling you that you had missed the call."  Kary gave her her "I'm sorry" look and her frustration melted.  She didn't know why, but she was really happy that she would be staying at Justin's house.  Maybe they will come home for a little break or something.  Sam, quite getting your hopes up for nothing.  Lance is not coming to see you.  What am I saying, the guys are not coming home to visit.  That's all there is to it.
   "Well, sure.  Thanks a lot."
  Lynn smiled, "C'mon in and unpack.  Kary, Justin said that you could use his room and Sam there is a guest room next to Justin's.  Make yourself at home."
  Sam just happened to glance over at Kary and to her surprise, she saw the twinkle in her eyes and the smile on her face.  I might not be the only one with feelings toward one of the guys, Sam thought to herself.

   "So do you want to go out to eat or something Lynn?"  Sam called from her doorway.
   Kary and Lynn were downstairs talking.
   "Uh. I don't know, maybe."  Lynn stalled.
   "What do you mean maybe?"  Kary asked.  "Come on it's been ages since we've seen each other.
   "Oh, okay.  Why don't you go get ready and I'll see you in about twenty minutes."
   "Okay.  I'll tell Sam."
  As Kary was running up the stairs, the front door slowly opened and all five guys came in on tiptoe.
   "Is it safe now mom?"  Justin whispered.
   "Yeah, come on in."
   "Thanks for covering.  We wanted to surprise them."
   "Did they say anything about us that we should know?"  Chris asked.
   "Not that I know of."  Lynn said while shrugging,  "Sorry."
   "I can't wait to see them, especially Sam.  She wasn't too happy when Kary told her about missing the phone call was she?"
   "Surprisingly, she was just very happy to be here.  I guess you could say that she was giddy."
   "Wow, maybe it's been too long since we've seen Sam.  She's growing up on us guys."  JC said while pretending to cry.
   "Lynn, what's all the noi...."
   "Surprise!"  All the guys and Lynn yelled.
   "I thought you guys were on tour?"  Sam stuttered.  "Kary, get down here.They came to visit.  Turns out we are good enough for them to keep in contact with."
   "You were always good enough for me."  Lance said with a grin as he ran up and hugged her.
   "Oh, I missed you guys so much."  Sam said while Kary came running down the stairs into the first person's arms that she saw, which just happened to be Justin's.
   "JT how have you been?"  Kary asked as Justin spun her in a circle.
   "Hey. I feel left out over here."  Joey said while fake pouting.
   "Oh Joey."  Sam said while running to hug him.
   "How long do we have to see you guys?"  Kary asked.
   "Oh, about three days."  Chris answered.
   "Only three days."  Sam and Kary said in unison.
   "Well, let's make the most of our three days.  Let's go eat and play putt-putt or something."  Joey suggested.
   "We're ready, how about you guys?"
   "Let's go."  They all said.

   "Justin, the ball is supposed to go into the hole."  Kary joked.
   "Oh yeah.Well you're about to go in the hole!"  Justin yelled while picking her up.
   "Justin, no!  Please.  Oh come on."  Kary said while struggling.
   "Oh alright."  Justin put her down.
   "Gotcha!"  Kary said while grabbing Justin's hat and running.
   "You're going to get it now!"  Justin screamed back while chasing after her.
   "Just like old times."  Lance joked while everyone watched them wrestling on a bench.
   "Well, it's about time you guys got some time to spend with us.  We never get to see you and you only call about once every month if we're lucky.  I'm sorry.  I know that you guys are busy, but we love you and it's hard for me and Kary."
   "Oh.  Don't make us cry Sam."  Chris joked while they all gave her a group hug.
   "Well, we better go get Kary and Justin before they make an even bigger scene than they already have."
   "C'mon you two.  You're making a scene.  Let's go."
   "Alright.  Here, you can have your hat back Justy."  Kary teased.
   "Thanks."  Justin answered with a smile.
   "Last one to the cars is a Backstreet Boys fan!"  Sam and Kary yelled over their shoulders.
   "Great!"  All the guys said while running to catch up with them.

   "So what movie should we watch?"  Sam asked the guys.
   "How about 'City of Angels'?"  Lance asked.
  "Oh, alright.  Since you'll whine and cry if we don't."  Sam teased while putting the movie on.  Lance playfully threw a pillow at her.
   "Hey now.  Quite getting so rough!"  Sam yelled over her shoulder.
   "You haven't seen rough."  He said while picking her up,  "Come sit with me."
   "If you insist."  Sam sighed.
   "Well, I think that I will sit next to, let me see.  Who wants to sit next to little ole' Kary?"  Kary teased Justin, JC, Chris, and Joey.  All the guys raised their hands and were like "Oh, oh pick me."  Finally Kary
sat in between Justin and Joey.
   "Shucks.  No one ever wants to sit next to me."  Chris joked,  "Oh well. Just means more popcorn for me."
   "Chris!"  Everyone yelled at once while throwing pillows at him.
   "What?  What'd I do?"
   "Be quiet.  The movie is starting."  Sam said, hushing everyone.
  About halfway through the movie, Sam glanced over at Kary to see Justin's arm on the back of the couch around Kary.
   "Hey, Kary.  Could you come upstairs and make some more popcorn with me?"
   "Uh, sure.  We'll be right back."  Kary said while getting up from Justin's grasp.
   "Oh, don't leave Sam.  You'll miss the best part of the movie."
   "We'll be real quick Lance.  I promise."
  Sam and Kary ran upstairs.  While Kary was making the popcorn, Sam asked her the question that had been on her mind for awhile.
   "Kary, do you have feelings for Justin, I mean like more than a friend feelings?"
  Kary stopped and simply said, "Yes."
   "I think he has them for you too.  From what I'm seeing."
   "Well, I kinda already know that you have strong feelings for Lance and I kinda see he feels the same way toward you."

    "How can you tell?"
   "Well he's been staring at you the whole movie for one and,well, just by the way he looks at you.  The twinkle in his eye.  I think the twinkle is really love though."
   "What are we going to do?"
   "I don't know Sam.  I really don't know how to deal with this situation."
   "Beep,beep!"  The microwave buzzed.
   "Well, we'll talk about it before we go to bed okay?"
   "Alright, we better get down there before the movie's over."
  Sam and Kary ran back to their places to watch the movie, grinning all the while.
   "What are you girls grinning about?"  JC asked.
   "Oh, nothing."  Both girls said, with twinkles in their eyes.
Later that night........
   "Kary, I don't know what to do.  I think that I have fallen in love with Lance.  I don't think that it's just happened either.  I think during all those good times we've had together, my longing for him grew.  I don't want to lose the Lance I know and love as my friend though.  He means way too much to me.  I am so lost in what to do."
   "Don't feel bad.  I feel the same way with Justin and I have no idea of what to do.  I want to tell him, but I am so afraid of what he'll say back. What if he doesn't feel the same way toward me and our friendship is ruined. I couldn't live with myself if that happened.  The guilt and longing would be too much for me.  I don't want Justin to feel weird around me, you know. I love how he acts around me now.  The Justin Randall Timberlake I've known and loved.  The best friend Justin."  Both girls sighed and each shed a few
tears.
   "If only we knew how they felt before we tell them or don't tell them."
The guys were still downstairs talking and watching t.v...
   "Do the girls seem like they're acting a little strange?"
   "Acting strange or just stranger?"  Chris said trying to break the tension.
   "I'm serious man.  They seem alright, but when I get near Kary it feels different."  Justin tried to explain.
   "Maybe the question is, are you feeling different toward Kary?"  JC tried to reason.
   "Well, actually.  I think that I'm starting to fall for her.  I think that I already have.  I had to call her last week because I was going crazy not being able hear her voice and not seeing her pretty face.  It was hard
and tearing me up inside.  Whatever I did, I just couldn't shake the feeling."
   "Maybe she feels the same way."  Joey said trying to help.
   "I have kinda the same feelings toward Sam.  I never knew I had them until I saw her.  Then they just like popped up out of nowhere and I couldn't control them.  I think of Sam as a beautiful person, but I couldn't see her as my girlfriend before, but now I'm making myself see her like that because I want it like that.  It's just I don't know if she wants it like that.  That's my fear in it."
   "What are we going to do?  I don't think I can tell Kary right now.  Not yet."
   "Me neither.  I don't know how Sam will take it.  Today may not be the day, but it will have to be soon.  Don't forget we leave in two days.  We have to tell them before."
   "I know Lance.  I know."

   "What's wrong?"  Joey asked when he saw the looks on Sam and Kary's faces.
   "What?"  They both asked.
   "You look like you're ready to  go to a funeral or something."  JC explained.
   "Nothing.  We'll be okay."  Sam told them smiling.
   "Hey everybody."  Justin said entering the kitchen.
   "Hi."  Everyone answered.
   "Wow.  Glum group."  Chris said coming into the kitchen,  "So what are we going to do today?"
   "We could go shopping."  Sam and Kary answered pleadingly.
   "Oh, okay by me."  Justin joked.
   "You guys can maybe let us pick some outfits out for your next concert." Sam teased.
   "Okay!"  They all yelled.
   "For real?  You'd really let us?"
   "Why not?  We think you guys have good taste.  We could always use a woman's touch anyways."
   "What are we waiting for then?"
   "Let's go!"  Chris screamed making everyone laugh.
At the mall.....
   "Lance, do you like this?"  Sam asked holding up a green Abercrombie and Fitch shirt.
   "I love you,oh, I mean it.  I love it."  Lance blushed.
   "Well that was weird.  He just said the wrong word.  No big deal Sam.  He doesn't love you.  He doesn't."  Sam said to herself.
   "Well, let's see what you've picked out so far Justin..  A baby blue shirt, another baby blue shirt, and let's not forget the other baby blue shirt."  Kary teased holding up the three shirts.
   "Hey.  I can't help it if baby blue looks good on me.  It drives the girls crazy so why stop wearing it now?"
   "I'll admit it.it does look good on you.  Please don't make me faint Mr. Timberlake."
   "Give me a break Kary."
   "Oh, I'm just kidding.  Here I'll buy you some Abercrombie and Fitch cologne.  Would that make you happy?"
   "Yes, very.  Thank you."  Justin said smiling.
   "Don't mention it.  Think of it as payment for the great day I've had with you today."
   "Is anybody hungry?"  Joey asked rubbing his stomach.
   "We take the hint Joey.  Let's go get some lunch."  Kary suggested.

They went to the Hard Rock Café and JC managed to get another menu.
   "You're never going to get through the menu stage are ya JC?"  Chris asked throwing a menu at him.
   "Did I criticize you when you had your dreads?"  JC asked.
   "Actually, yeah a couple of times.  I don't have them anymore now do I?" Chris asked rubbing his head.
   "I guess you got me there."  JC said while scratching his head.
   "Oh quite fake arguing and eat your food.  What do you guys want to do tonight?"
   "Let's go get lots of junk food and movies.  Then we could have a sleepover."  Joey said in his girl impression voice.
   "Sounds good to us, huh Kary?"
   "Nothing could bring me more joy then eating junk food, playing games,and watching movies with my favorite bunch of guys."
   "Oh gosh."  All five guys said acting fake embarrassed.
   "Let's go get the junk food.  You guys can go get the movies.  At least we'll know the movies will be varied in storyline.  There will probably be an action, one with Meg Ryan in it, one will be a mobster movie, a Star Wars, and another action.  Here comes a long night."  Sam and Kary joked.
   "Hey you guys, don't forget the comedy.for our sakes."
   "Why do you need a comedy when you have me?"  Chris asked acting hurt.
   "Okay forget the comedy.  Let's go Kary.  See you guys back at the house."
   "Don't be too long."  Lance and Justin whispered to Sam and Kary.
  Sam and Kary looked at each other shocked.  Maybe they did feel the same way toward them as they did toward them.
   "Alright, bye bye bye!"  They said back.
   "Give us a break and get going."  JC hollered back.
At the house.....
   "Well, let's see what we've got to choose from.  We have Star Wars,Armageddon, Twelve Monkeys, Big Daddy, and Cape Fear.  I think I choose Armageddon.  How about the rest of you?"  Sam asked.
   "Oh you just want to watch whatever Lance wants."  Chris answered jokingly.
   "What, um, no.  I just feel like a tear jerkier movie.  That's all."
   "Yeah so you two can cuddle."  Joey said playfully punching Lance.
   "Hey, there's nothing wrong with that is there Sam?"  Lance asked embracing her in a loose hug.
   "Not with me."  She said squeezing herself closer to Lance and his warm embrace.
   "Kary, you wanna cuddle with me?"  Justin asked grabbing her hand.
   "Oh, why not."  Kary tried to joke, but Sam saw the joy on her face when Justin took her hand.

   "Looks like everyone else is asleep.  Do you want to go somewhere and talk?"  Lance whispered to Sam.
   "I'd love to, just like old times."  Sam smiled.
  Sam and Lance went up to the room that Lance was staying in and talked for hours.
   "Sam, about what you said earlier about loving the old times, what did you love so much about them?"
   "Well, Lance.  I loved being with you and all the guys.  I love the friendship that we all have and I could never feel this close to someone else ever again.  You guys are my family."
   "Sam?"
   "Huh?"
   "I don't know how to say this or what to say, but would you want to make new good times with me?"
   " I want to make new good times with all of you guys.  I love you all and I couldn't stand to lose you."
   "I love you too Sam and that's just the problem.  I love you more than anything.  I can't think of going on without you.  I want to spend my life with you.  I don't care what anyone else says, I want to make new good times with you as more than just a friend or family, but as your boyfriend." Lance told her and then looked at the floor.
   "Lance, I don't know how to say this, but I feel the same exact way toward you.  I love you and I don't want to go on without having you as my boyfriend."  Sam took Lance's hand.  "Aren't you worried what the other guys will say or what your fans will think?  What about your manager?"
   "I don't care."  Lance yelled.  "It doesn't matter what our managers say when it comes down to who I can and cannot love.  The fans won't just turn on us if they are true fans.  I'm not the only guy in the group who loves someone.  I'm just not going to worry about everyone else now.  I love you and it doesn't matter.  None of it matters."
   "Lance.  You are the sweetest, most caring gentleman that I have ever met. That's why I love you. 

Nothing can change that I love you either."  Sam hugs Lance for what seemed like forever.  Then they fell asleep in each other's arms.

   "Yo, hello.  Are you two alive?"
   "Huh, what?"  Lance and Sam ask rubbing their eyes while getting up out of each other's arms, looking at Chris staring at them.
   "What is up with you man?  Lance asked Chris smiling.
   "Well you two kinda disappeared and we were worried.  Never mind.  I'll leave now."  Chris said running out of the room.
   "Finally, alone again."  Lance said smiling at Sam.
   "I love you Lance."
   "I love you too Sam."  And with this they hugged and were looking into each other's eyes.  Then they leaned forward and kissed.
   "Well good morning you two.  How,wait, where were you last night?"  Joey asked while grinning.
   "We were talking and then we fell asleep.  Alright.  Is that okay with everybody?"  Sam asked jokingly.
   "Actually, I have an announcement."  Lance started and then looked at Sam.  Sam shook her head yes and Lance finished.  "Well, I'll just come out and say it.  Sam and I are a couple.  We found out last night that we both loved each other too much not to be so we decided to go through with it, no matter what the consequences."  Sam and Lance hugged and everyone applauded and oohed and ahhed.  Sam and Lance bowed and everyone's morning was suddenly brightened.
   "Well, what are we going to do on our last day together sweetie?"  Lance teased Sam.  "Guess you'll have to get used to our pet names huh?"
   "Yeah I guess honey!"  Sam and Lance laughed and went  to get dressed.
   "Hey Lance.  I was wondering if you could answer a question for me?"
   "Anything for you Sam."
   "Well last night you said that you weren't the only guy in the group who loved somebody so much that he couldn't live without her.  Who were you talking about?"
   "Uh, well.  I don't know if I should really say anything, but I'll give you a hint.  Do the initials JRT ring a bell?  Well he's head over heels for someone, but he is afraid of messing things up with her."  Lance

explained.
"Why?"
   "I know a girl who's head over heels for some guy and her initials are KAC.  Think we could be on to something?"
   "What do you know  Sam?"  Lance asked while tickling her.
   "What do you know Lance?"  Sam asked fighting back.
   "Alright hold on a minute.  They feel the same way toward each other, so all they need a little help from the two of us right?"  Lance asked.
   "Sounds like a plan to me.  What are we doing tonight anyway?  None of you guys will tell Kary or me.  What's the big secret?"
   "It's a secret.  You'll like it though, I promise."
   "Okay, I trust you.  Well you better go talk to Justin, but try not to make it too obvious though.   You know what I mean?"
   "Yeah, I understand.  See you in a little bit.  Love you."
   "I love you too Lance."

"Kary, are you going to tell Justin your feelings toward him?"
   "No Sam.  I can't.  What if he doesn't feel the same way.  I'd be crushed
and our whole friendship would be lost.  I couldn't live with myself if that ever happened."
   "Kary.  Ask yourself this question.  Could you ever live with yourself if you never told him and you lost him to someone else?  Just think about it and let your heart tell you what to do."

   "You gotta tell her man."
   "Why and how can I just go up to one of my closest friends and tell her I love her and can't live without her?  It's not that easy and what if she rejects me?  Then what will I do?"
   "Look at me for example.  My feelings were so strong for Sam and my heart was going to explode if I didn't tell her.  I didn't get my heart broken or my friendship lost.  If Kary doesn't have the same feelings toward you that you have toward her, she's not going to just shoot you down with rejection. She loves you.  I know that for a fact and you are the only person who can find out if that love is the kind that keeps people together forever."
   "I know you're right, so I'm gonna do it.  I'll tell her tonight at our surprise."  Justin said taking a deep breath.

   "Wow.  You look great Sam."  Lance said while spinning her around in a circle.
   "Thank you Lance.  You don't look too bad yourself."  Sam answered back pulling him closer.
   "Did you talk to Kary?"
   "Yep.  Did you talk to Justin?"
   "Mission accomplished."
   "Oh great.  I've been worried all day.  Do the other guys have dates tonight too?"
   "Something like that."  Lance teased.
   "Okay.  Whatever that means.  Well, let's go."
   "Kary, are you ready?"  Justin called up the stairs.
   "Yes."  Kary answered coming down the stairs.
   "You look beautiful Kary."
   "Thanks Justy.  You look really good."  Kary smiled.  "Where are the rest of the guys?  Do they have dates too?"
   "I have a feeling we'll probably bump into them later tonight."  Justin answered.

   "Thank you for dinner Lance.  It was very romantic and the perfect way to spend our last night together, for now anyway."
   "Looking at your beautiful face with the light of the candles was amazing.  It made you look even more amazing than you already are."
   "Oh Lance.  You're making me blush.  So where are we going now?"
   "We are going to the surprise.  You can't wait can you?  I know how much you love surprises."  Lance answered.

   "Justin, where are we going?"
   "You'll see Kary.  We're almost there."

"Lance it's beautiful."  Sam exclaimed as she saw the spot that Lance had picked for them to sit on the beach.  It had a perfect view of the ocean and the soon to be setting sun.
   "Just like you."  Lance told her grasping her hand.
   "I wish we could just stay here together forever.  It's so peaceful and." Sam told Lance, but she got cut off.
   "Hey you two, can we join you?"  Justin asked as he and Kary walked over to them.
   "Uh, yeah.  The more the merrier."
   "Well what about us?"  Chris, Joey, and JC asked as they and their dates walked over to where the four were standing.
   "Well here's your surprise Sam."  Lance exclaimed.
   "What, everyone joining us?"
   "That's part of it.  Actually this is a surprise for each and every one of you ladies.  Especially you

Sam."  Lance said and then blew her a kiss.
   "And especially you Kary."  Justin said blowing her a kiss.
   "1..2..3.Can this be true?  Tell me can this be real?  How can I put into words what I feel.  My life was complete, I thought I was whole. Why do I feel like I'm losing control?  I never knew that love could feel like this and then you changed my world with just one kiss. How can it be right here with me,  there's an angel? It's a miracle. Your love is like a river peaceful and deep. Your soul is like a secret that I never could keep. When I look into your eyes, I know that it's true. God must have spent a little more time on you."  Then all the guys handed their girls long stemmed roses.
   "Lance, I can't even try to explain how I feel right now.  This is the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me.  I love you."  Sam ran up and hugged Lance.
   "Justin, this is so sweet.  Thank you so much.  I can't tell you how much I love you."  Kary hugged Justin.
   They were all in the person's arms that they loved while they watched the sun set.

   Kary and Justin became an official couple and you never saw Justin without Kary right there.  You could see the love for each other in their eyes.
   Sam and Lance were a long lasting couple, who never fought and were always there for each other and they loved every minute of it.
   Sam and Kary got to go on parts of the tours and travel here and there with the guys.  They were always on the phone or e-mailing back and forth.
   After their experiences, Sam and Kary both realized that love can be right there under your nose and you may not notice it until it is too late.
